How your logins stay safe

Draft for review by a qualified UK solicitor.

Kur8 never sees, keeps or sends your passwords or sign-in details for Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, X or Reddit. This page explains how that works, so you don't have to take our word for it.

You sign in on the platform's own page

Each channel is the platform's own mobile website, opened inside Kur8. When you sign in, you type into Instagram's own page, or TikTok's, or Google's for YouTube, just as you would in Safari.

Your connection goes straight from your iPhone to the platform, protected by the platform's own security certificate. Kur8 doesn't sit in the middle, doesn't send your browsing through its own servers and never adds a certificate of its own.

Kur8's filter switches off on sign-in pages

To hide posts, Kur8 adds a small filter to the platform's pages. It's built so that it can't get near your sign-in:

What stays on your iPhone

The platform remembers that you're signed in, in the same way Safari would. That stays on your iPhone, and Kur8 never copies it or sends it anywhere. To sign out of a platform, use the sign-out option on the platform's own page.

The only login Kur8 keeps is your Kur8 account. Your settings and activity totals stay on your iPhone.

If Google won't let you sign in

Google sometimes blocks signing in inside other apps and says the browser may not be secure. This is Google's rule for all apps that show web pages, not a sign that something is wrong. Where a platform offers it, sign in with its own email and password instead of "Continue with Google". YouTube may not let you sign in inside Kur8 for now.
